Trips Prior to April 28:

Participation requires a non-refundable $50 USD registration fee and a $250 USD security deposit, which is refundable if you are in good standing at the end of the program.

Trips April 28 and later:

Participation requires a non-refundable $50 USD registration fee. If you are using the group flight, the subsidized cost of the flight is $550. If you are not using the group flight, there is no additional cost above the $50 registration fee.

Note that volunteers who have previously participated in a Birthright Israel Volunteer program and received a flight subsidy reimbursement are not eligible for the group flight.

All Trips:

Housing, Shabbat dinner, transportation to and from volunteer placements, health insurance, and organized activities are all included in the cost of the program. Housing may take the form of a furnished apartment or conventional hotel accommodations. Meals vary by Program – the minimum is breakfast daily.

There will be a community manager and a staff person focusing on logistical support.

Travelers are briefed ahead of arrival on the standard security protocols we follow. Although very unlikely at this point, travelers should be aware that there is a possibility they will be present for a rocket alert siren during our travels. Fortunately, Israel has sophisticated anti-rocket protections, and we will only travel in parts of the country that are away from the border areas where there is reasonable time to seek protection in the event a siren sounds.

If the security situation in Israel worsens, we will adjust the program as needed, and we will cancel the program if we are not confident in being able to provide a safe and meaningful volunteer experience in Israel. As of today, the security situation in Israel continues to improve, allowing us to operate fully and safely.
