Update From Israel #Bus310

The group is doing great. We landed really late on Monday night and drove directly north to the city of Tiberias to go to sleep. After sleeping in, the group departed for the Golan Heights and had a relaxing rafting ride down the Jordan River. After the float and lunch nearby, bus 310 took to the Golan Heights. We toured Mount Bental, where they learned about the history of the Golan and the war between Israel and Syria. The group was able to see the bunkers first hand and learn about the battles of the Yom Kippur War. The group also had a small hike through the Golan Heights. Later, after dinner and some down time in the hotel, evening activities were used to break the ice and set the tone for the rest of the program. Afterwards, the group got to wind down at the hotel bar or rest before preparing for day two- the mystical city of Tzfat.

Today, the group started the day with a drive up north to hike Mount Meron and connect with nature first hand. After a short drive bus 310 arrived at Tzfat to learn about Kabballa, Jewish mysticism, and learn from the religious communities about some of our most sacred rituals of purification. After lunch and some shopping time we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our evening activities, witch included famous musician Gidal Vital!

Tomorrow the group heads to heart of the country- Jersualem
