TL-BR-52-1332 UPDATE 1
First, we landed late last night circa 8 p.m. Israel time. We had an amazing omelette sandwich dinner and met our most spectacularly electric fabulous tour guide, Yonaton. Our group of 16 participants quickly bonded through interviewing each other in groups of 3 then introducing one another to the group.
We drove up north to Kibbutz Afik where we all went straight to bed to get a much needed rest.
Monday morning we woke up and had a great breakfast to fuel our long, yet electric, day #1. We drove to Ein Tina where we had a lovely water hike, talking to many locals and learning about the history of the north. We then drove to Gadot overview where we learned about Eli Cohen and his efforts to aid the Israelis against the Syrians. We then went to a mall in Tiberias for a delicious lunch where participants had the option to eat whatever their heart desired. Some had their first Shawarmas, some experienced Israeli McDonalds, others had salads and pasta. We then continued our day in Tiberias’ Olam Hamayim for some exhilarating tubing. We then drove back to the hotel, got cleaned up and ready for a delicious schnitzel and pasta dinner at Afik. Had a evening recap of the day, some games and a recap of tomorrow.
Some participants watched the sunset from a beautiful vantage point at Afik of the Kinneret. They finished the night with free time; playing games, going on walks, enjoying the nice weather and connecting with each other. We are looking forward to the rest of the trip and building an even stronger bond each day.
