TL-50-464 Update 1

Wow, what an amazing few days group 464 has had.

After a long flight from Los Angeles we landed in Ben Gurion and met our tour guide Hannan. We then drove up north and did a pit stop at Caesarea for a welcome ceremony before heading to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and some much needed sleep

After a refreshing nights sleep we went to Mount Arbel for a hike, which was guided by the wonderful Hannan. We then went to an aqua park on the Sea of Galilee and did a ninja style course on the sea before heading for lunch in Tiberias. We had a wonderful session about the status of the region before we had dinner and spent some time doing some group bonding.

The next day we had breakfast and the left for a lovely hike and then heading to a Druze village to learn about the Druze of the region before being served lunch. We then headed for some time in the Mediterranean before heading to Jerusalem.

The next day in Jerusalem we met our Israeli peers and spent some time getting to know each other before heading out for a jeep tour in the Jerusalem hills. For lunch we headed to Machane Yehuda for lunch and to see the city prepare for Shabbat. We then headed back to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat before heading to the Kotel to welcome Shabbat. The feeling at the wall was amazing and we then walked back to the hotel for a scrumptious dinner. 

Shabbat was relaxing as we had a late wake up – yay! We then did an activity to discuss our Jewish identity before having some pool time before doing a game of white elephant or what we have renamed black Camel which may have involved a fish head as a gift. In the afternoon we had a relaxing time and a group spent time at a local park before having dinner at the hotel before a night out at the market.

We are now up early for another wonderful day in Jerusalem.. more to come!
