TL-46-840 UPDATE 2

Hi!

#Bus840 grew a little more as we are joined by 6 Israelis! In the morning, we took a Jeep tour around Yad Kennedy. The beautiful area filled with fruit trees, pine trees, ancient springs, and byzantine history provided a fun start to the day. Then we had some delicious watermelon! Afterward, we went digging for clues about old Jewish life during the time of the Maccabees and went caving, an experience that certainly challenged many of us. We were lucky enough to find ancient pottery, animal bones, and charcoal from that era, and the group learned a lot about our ancestors way of life. Finally, we culminated our explorations in the desert at Kfar Hanokdim, where we enjoyed a somewhat traditional Bedouin experience and bonded as a team with activities led by our Israeli mifgashim.
