TL-46-744 Update 1

After two long flights, Vancouver Birthright group has finally made it to Israel! The flight arrived 30 minutes early, everyone got changed into their summer clothes, and the adventure began!
The first stop after the airport was lunch – everyone’s choice was, of course, hummus and falafel! After checking that box, we headed straight to the archeological seminar at Beit Govrin. There, everyone in the group helped dig out some cool old artifacts, such as pottery pieces, charcoal, animal bones and even a TOOTH (don’t worry, it was an animal tooth)! So we can now officially say “We dig Israel!” 🙂
We then went to explore underground caves which we had to climb around and follow the path lit up by the candles. It was absolutely stunning.
Onto our first accommodations right by the Ramon Crater. We got to see a beautiful sunset by the crater and check-in to our accommodations. Then we had dinner and did some icebreakers to get to know each other better! After a veeeery long 1-2 days of travelling everyone is finally off to bed to recharge and get ready for our next adventure tomorrow.
