TL-46-551 Update 1
Bus 551 has officially touched down in Israel! After a brief layover in Toronto, we arrived at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for our first day of Birthright with Israel Outdoors.
After boarding the bus, we stopped for a brief lunch before heading to Caesaria. Originally built by King Herod, Caesaria is a city that pays tribute to Augustus Caesar. We explored this ancient city, which featured an amphitheater, aqueduct, and port. The entire trip said a shechiyanu, the prayer you say at the beginning of something new, to welcome the start of our trip in Israel.
After Caesaria, we continued north to Tiberias where we had dinner and played ice breakers to get to know each other better. We’re looking forward to the rest of our travels around Israel. Stay tuned for our next update!
