TL-46-381 Update 5
Hi!
We started the morning with another educational seminar. A long-serving Israeli diplomat named Ido discussed topics such as Israel’s international “brand” image and how Birthright allows us to build an emotional connection with Israel. We even discussed things like Albert Einstein’s impact on Israel.
Next, we filed into the bus for a ride to Mobileye, one of Israel’s innovative tech. companies. Mobileye uses advanced camera technology to make driving cars safer. We arrived at their HQ for an overview presentation before heading to their test workshop full of various cars fitted with Mobileye camera systems.
Later we visited the Jewish Quarter in the Old City. After feeding our hungry stomachs, we toured the Jewish Quarter feeling as though we’ve stepped into the past. We learned about the Temple of Jerusalem and its history before a quick stop at the Western Wall. Here, we’re given the chance to leave a note between the wall’s stone blocks as so many have done before.
We returned to the hotel for dinner and had an acitivity where we shared family stories regarding the Holocaust. This served as a sort of precursor to what we had in store the next day, Yad Vashem the Holocaust Museum and Memorial.
