TL-46-381 Update 3

Hi!

We started the day with a seminar. Then we hit the road for Mount Bental, a dormant volcano overlooking Israel’s border with Lebanon and Syria. Next, we visited the remnants of what once was a Syrian base within Israeli territory before it was retaken by the IDF. All along the way, Retired IDF soldier Eyal Dror and our tour guide Gai gave us an overview of Israel’s geopolitical history. Everything from Israeli-Palestine relations, the Middle East, COVID-19, and more.
Late afternoon, we visited the city of Tzfat. Known as the city of Kabbalah and 1 of the 4 holy cities of Israel. We got some free time to walk along the colorful alleyways lined with eateries, Jewish gifts shops, and artwork shops with a few alley cats here and there. Then we regrouped for a tour of Tzfat including stories of the city’s history and a visit to a local synagogue.
We headed to a nearby kibbutz to visit a winery and sample some drinks together. Finally, we ended the day on the Sea of Galilee at an outdoor restaurant right on the water. Even had a party boat docked next to us jamming music for us to dance to.
