TL-46-381 Update 2

Hi!

A bunch of us woke up bright and early to watch the sunrise over the Golan Heights. After breakfast, we boarded the bus for a hike in Tel Dan, the Northeastern-most point of Israel. We walked through trails of dense foliage along clear streams of rushing water. Then we got back on the bus to visit Qiryat Shemona where we met 6 Israeli soldiers who’d be joining us for most of our Birthright trip. We stopped at a park for a surprising team-building exercise involving everyone standing in a circle, holding a rope, and pulling it tight while someone tries to walk along it. After lunch, it was time for some rafting on the Jordan River. There was plenty of splashing each other with our paddles, plenty of rafts bumping into each other, and plenty of river banks and branches to run into.

And then we had team building after a big dinner with a very animated Israeli named Nico. We saw the sunset over the Sea of Galilee. – Sarah (staff)
