TL-46-354/1082 Update 7

Many of us can’t believe the trip is coming to an end! It feels both like it’s been weeks, and also that it has flown by far too fast. Either way, many of us shared our gratitude for this experience throughout the day with the realization we will be returning home soon.

Ok, here we go- we jumped in with breaking that fast (breakfast ), followed by a tour at the Mitzpe Ramon Visitors Center learning about astronauts, science, and the large creators in the Negev desert. The presentations were nice and we enjoyed learning (and the AC the place had!). We then parted from our friends / the Israelis. Sad times parting from them, but also beautiful that so many were able to develop strong connections with such little time – in less than 5 days.  After we parted from our  Israeli friends, we split into 3 Unique group options (woodworking, Painting, acro-balance)
This was fun and many were excited to participate. This was followed by 9 participants having their Bar/Bat Mitzvahs & naming ceremony. Wow/ it was moving with beautiful scenery. We then had lunch on our own (to those who found the vegan place- wow sooo yummy!). All food was good and people were content to bond over food. This was followed by a jeep tour in the desert. Rocky, but very fun and a once and lifetime experience.  Then the group visited Sde Boker – a desert outpost & grave of Ben Gurion. Beautiful scenery! We arrived in our final city- Tel Aviv! Dropped for the memorial for soldiers, then ate dinner and threw a surprise party for our birthday pals, Zack & Lexi! Happy birthday, friends!

What a day! Tomorrow is our final full day- stay tuned to our adventures in Tel Aviv

With appreciation,
Hal & Lexi
