TL-46-354/1082 Update 3

Day 3, we sure sung with glee! Although it has only been 3 days, it has felt like we have been together almost a week by this point!

Our day began with breakfast, followed by a tour of Tzfat, the Jewish mysticism birthplace. Israel stood still when the Memorial Day siren went off to remember those lost in the ashes of the Holocaust. We continued our tour enjoying the unique stones, colorful artwork, and blue roofs. Many stories and a ton of history to squeeze into just 2 hours – but we learned a lot and the participants seemed hungry for more. We were fortunate to hear from the one and only, Avraham Loewenthal, a professional painter and published artist on Kabbalah. His wisdom sprinkled onto our hearts as our minds absorbed the knowledge he emulated- 4,000 years old rich history shared in under 30 minutes. We then ate a delicious lunch at a well-known restaurant – enough options for everyone (and golly G were the vegan and vegetarian options delicious) – with more than enough meat – 5 different kinds- to go around. We chowed down while engaging in conversations about life’s purpose, wanting pets, and mainly how tasty the food was- yeah, it was THAT good! A lunch to remember for certain. We drove to Jerusalem and prepared ourselves for a weekend treat. The hotel has a swimming pool, gym, and sauna — oh boy! Many were ready to go swimming before our dinner and night out on the town. Our first leisure evening in the Machane Yehuda area was a blast! Music, good vibes, and so many smiles – what else could we have asked for? Oh yeah, and there were plenty of food options (foodies – I know you were happy yet again!). After dancing the night away and indulging in dinner and snacks, we concluded the evening and returned to the hotel for conversations in the lobby. What a lovely day! But wait, we aren’t even halfway through! Shabbat is coming – so we have so much more to share and learn with each other. Stay tuned for more adventures of #bus354 #bus1082 🙂
