TL-46-241 Update 1

Hi There! Our group is SO excited to be in Israel. Despite a long day of travel and arriving in Israel early this morning, we have had an amazing first day together! We started the day with breakfast at Ben Gurion, then made our way to Caesarea, where we were able to learn more about the ancient city and get to know each other better. After spending the morning in Caesarea learning about the impact of King Herod on Israel, the group had time to explore Zikhron Ya’akov, learning about the generosity of Baron Edmund de Rothschild on the development of this place as one of the first modern settlements in the country. They also got to experience an authentic Israeli meal and gained perspective on what daily life is like outside of the major cities of Israel. Before heading to the hotel, the group had the opportunity to stop at a lookout point over the Kinneret, where we discussed the importance of water in Israel and the innovation surrounding this precious resource. We had some time to relax by the pool and as we head into dinner time, we are excited to close out the evening getting to know each other better and preparing for our mifgash with our Israelis tomorrow!
