TL-45-365 Update 2

The past couple of days has brought many emotions. Some bad, some good.

We visited Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum, where our tour guide led us through the Children’s Memorial and the main exhibit. After lunch, we went to Mt. Herzl and visited the many graves of civilians and soldiers who lost their lives serving Israel.

After a long(ish) drive and many bathroom breaks, we made it to the Bedouin Tents in the Negev Desert! We spent the evening playing games, making s’mores, singing songs, and just having an overall amazing experience around a fire!

Then came the morning of the 4:40 am wake-up call to climb Mt. Masada! We were able to learn the history of Masada and the Jewish people who had taken their own lives instead of giving up their beliefs & faith. Lastly, no trip to Israel is complete without a visit to the Dead Sea!
