TL-45-103/79 Update 4

Thursday began with us packing up to leave our kibbutz in the north of Israel. We took an hour and a half drive to Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city. We stopped at an overlook to see the world-famous Baháʼí Gardens, the spiritual and administrative center of the Bahá’í Faith.

Afterward, we went on a nature hike in the Carmel Mountains, stopping along the way to learn about plants with nutritional and medicinal qualities. As one of our group members said, “That was an adventure!”

Our day continued to Usfiya, a Druze village in the north of Israel. We toured the village and learned about the religion and culture of the Druze people, before having a delicious lunch cooked by a local family.

We arrived in Jerusalem this evening and are about to head to the market for dinner. More to come tomorrow!
