Cue The Sound of Music’s Climb Every Mountain because it was hiking time! We started the day before dawn hiking up Masada, a mountain fortress in Israel’s desert. After watching a gorgeous sunrise and touring the top of Masada, we headed to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Its mineral rich waters are known to have healing properties for the skin, and we enjoyed full body mud masks and floating. We wrapped up the day with camping in the desert in tents hosted by Bedouins, one of the many diverse groups that call Israel home.
