Member of Israel Outdoors Team Joins Knesset

Israel Outdoors would like to congratulate General Elazar Stern on his recent election to the Knesset – Israel’s parliament.  Elazar Stern is a member of our Board of Directors and is actively involved in program education for Israel Outdoors.

Elazar began his IDF career as a paratrooper, rising to the rank of General in charge of human resources and education. He created the army’s Nativ conversion program and initiated Poland trips for officers. He is perhaps best known for deepening the love of and connection to Judaism within the military.

Elazar will be serving in the Knesset as a member of Hatnuah (Movement), a centrist political party focused on finding pragmatic solutions to Israel’s domestic and international challenges.
