Updates from Israel #Bus225

Thanks so the group leaders of Israel by Bike trip Buss225 for sharing!

Greetings from Israel! We’re seeing some beautiful views and meeting some very cool people.

This first photo is us biking along a tributary of the Jordan River, through orchards of different citrus fruits and pecan trees (we even got to taste some of those and learned how Israelis crack them open with their hands…). The weather is perfect for biking, not too cold, not too hot.

The second photo is of all of us on the bank of the Jordan.

After the bike ride we went on a short hike along the Banias River, where we saw beautiful turquoise waterfalls and ruins that go thousands of years back. Our tour guide, Mark, gives great explanations everywhere we go of the historical significance of what we’re seeing.

We are also staying at a kibbutz and experiencing the wonders of a kibbutz dining room, rooming with new people and enjoying getting to know this amazing group.

Our bus driver and Israeli tour guide and medics/security guards are really nice and have become part of our group!

Much love, wish you were all here with us,

The Cheesecakes (one of the Israelis, taking our group photo, yelled “ok CHEESECAKES” and we all laughed – it stuck!)
