Update From Israel: #Bus284
Thank you to group TL-31-284’s staffers, Adam and Shoshana, for sending the following update on their first day in Israel:
“After a long day of flying, we finally made it to Israel! We meet our wonderful Israeli staff(our guide Libbi, our medic Aryeh and our driver Gadir) and went straight to the Golan Heights in northern Israel. We had a relaxing end of the day, ate dinner, did some icebreakers and went to sleep.
Today we woke up early and had a beautiful hike in the Banias which includes lush green scenery and a waterfall. After lunch at a Falafel stand with a very eccentric owner, we enjoyed a tour of an olive oil factory. We tried a number of olive oils and tested some of their cosmetics. After driving further in elevation we got a chance to experience a relative rarity in Israel: snow! Another highlight of the day was visiting a tank memorial and hearing the story of the father-in-law of one of our participants, who operated the tank that we visited. We are now back at the hotel eating dinner and looking forward to a program with an Israeli musician, Gilad Vital. Can’t wait for the next 8 days! “
