Live Trip Updates – September 8, 2014

Every day we will post live trip updates. Check for the group code (starting with TL-30-) for a specific group…

TL-30-445 and TL-30-446: Today the group began their day with a great hike up Masada to see the beautiful sunrise over the Israeli desert. After a long hike down the mountain, they enjoyed a quick breakfast. Next, they traveled to Ein Gedi National Park to walk the Nahal David path to the desert oasis. Then, the group went to Ein Bokek Beach to float in the Dead Sea. After some free time at the beach, the group left and headed to the Bedouin Tents. At the Bedouin tents they learned about Bedouin culture, ate a festive Bedouin style dinner, and spent time hanging out around the campfire.

TL-30-447: The group had a somber day in Jerusalem today. They first visited Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Museum and Memorial, and then toured Har Herzl National Memorial. It was a meaningful and powerful day. Afterwards, they left Jerusalem and headed south into the Israeli desert, or Negev. They spent the night in their hotel in Arad doing a group activity facilitated by the Israeli peers.
