TL-30-402: The group had a very exciting day, which began before dawn. They woke up extra early to climb Masada and view the incredible sunrise over the Israeli desert from the top. On Masada, several members of the group received their Hebrew names in a beautiful naming ceremony. Following Masada, the group traveled to the beautiful desert oasis at Nahal David. Next, they visited the Ein Bokek Beach for their first float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea. The evening was spent in the Bedouin tents, enjoying authentic Bedouin hospitality. TL-30-403: This group woke up very early in order to climb up Masada via the Roman Ramp before dawn. Participants watched the sunrise from the top of the desert fortress. After breakfast at the bottom, the group enjoyed floating in the Dead Sea at Ein Bokek Beach and had a highlight of the week – camel trekking in the Negev Desert! They had dinner at a Bedouin tent and are spending the night enjoying Bedouin hospitality.
TL-30-404, TL-30-405 and TL-30-406: These groups began their day with a hike through the canyons of Nahal Zavitan to witness the natural beauty of northern Israel. In the afternoon, the groups enjoyed playing water sports in the Kinneret. The Kinneret, or Sea of Galilee, is the largest freshwater lake in Israel. The groups spent the afternoon banana boating, tubing and playing games in the water. Next, the groups visited Mount Bental, where they were able to see Mount Hermon and the Golan Heights. In the evening, they enjoyed a cultural activity led by Israeli musician Gilad Vital, where they learned about traditional and modern Israeli music. Check out these pictures of TL-30-404:
TL-30-407: This Israel by Bike group landed in Israel very early this morning and, after a long journey, all is well in Israel! After arriving at Ben Gurion Airport, the group met their Israeli tour guide, and headed straight to their hotel in Tiberias, where they were able to rest for about four hours. In the afternoon, they conquered a hike through Mt. Arbel, where they enjoyed views of Mt. Hermon and the Golan Heights. After enjoying lunch and some free time in Tiberias, the group headed back to the hotel where they gathered for their first Israeli dinner. In the evening, their guide led a discussion about safety and the current situation in Israel, alleviating many of the participants’ concerns. They finished the evening playing ice breaker games to get to know each other better before settling into a much needed night’s sleep.
TL-30-892: Waking up before dawn, this group climbed Masada in time the view the incredible sunrise from the top. After exploring the desert fortress, the group visited the Dead Sea, where they enjoyed the healing powers of the mud and floated in the water. In the evening, they enjoyed dinner at a Bedouin tent, where they will be spending the night. Check out some photos from today …
