TL-30-411 and TL-30-412: The group explored the northern coastal town of Zichron Yaakov and then relaxed on the beaches in Netanya. In the evening, they had a group dinner to celebrate their amazing journey in Israel.

TL-30-413: The group had a somber day visiting Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial museum, and Har Herzl, Israel’s national cemetery. In the evening, they enjoyed a group night out on Ben Yehuda Street where they had an opportunity to purchase souvenirs.

TL-30-414 and TL-30-415: This group explored Jerusalem today. They started at Israel’s Holocaust memorial museum, Yad Vashem. They then visited Israel’s national cemetery, Har Herzl. In the afternoon they explored Jerusalem’s pedestrian mall, Ben Yehuda Street. The group also had an evening seminar with Sheldon Shulman where they discussed the current situation in the Middle East.

TL-30-416: This Jewish Federation of Atlanta community group began the day in Atlanta’s sister city of Yokneam-Meggido where they met up with their Israeli peers who are now participants on their trip. They did a service project at Lotem, a farm that is handicap-accessible and gives children with disabilities a chance to participate in farm activities including pressing grapes and olives using their wheelchair wheels. They tilled the soil and worked extremely hard! They stopped for lunch at the Yokneam Mall before traveling to Jerusalem where they will spend the next few days. Check out some photos from today…

TL-30-417 and TL-30-418: This group had a special treat today – a cohort of Israeli peers joined them for the next few days. Together they visited Sataf, a city located in the the Jerusalem Hills that is famous for its hiking trails. Then they explored the City of David before volunteering with the Gift of Life. TL-30-419 and TL-30-791: The group hiked up Mount Meron and then spent the day in Haifa. In this coastal city, they saw the beautiful view of the Baha’ai Gardens from the Stella Marais viewpoint and then explored Elijah’s Cave. In the afternoon, they traveled to Jerusalem and prepared for the arrival of Israeli peers who will be joining them for the next few days.

TL-30-420 and TL-30-422: The group explored the mystical city of Tzfat where they learned about this history of Kabbalah and had time to purchase their own art. They also hiked Mount Meron before returning to Tiberias where they will spend the night.
